• Small- band director at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, conducting his own compositions.
• External examiner for the London College of Music.
• Saxophone specialist for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in the development of the board’s new jazz syllabus.
• Director of the Strode’s Big Band.
• Workshop and jam session leader at Jagz Club in Ascot. (Monday nights 7.30-10.30, entry £8.00. Jagz is situated next to the station.)
